It is inevitable to deny the progress of a society in which the values of respect towards ecosystems are more and more important and where the purchase of sustainable products has to do with issues of social conscience and quality. In this paradigm shift, sustainable production is gaining importance in the economic, social and, of course, environmental spheres.
Within this framework, it is important for us to follow internal guidelines and directives, which our technical department follows when designing products, materials and processes. These help us to configure the best possible product, which, regardless of its formal appearance, must meet certain requirements before it goes to market.
Let's take the example of the familia Line
and review the entire process from conception to production and installation.Conceived as a linear luminaire available in a wide range of sizes, it is manufactured by aluminum extrusion with up to 70% recycled material,
using the same matrix for the different lengths, we reduce tooling in its manufacture and its carbon footprint, being also of national production. For its production, being a product of large dimensions, we need ad hoc storage areas and packaging systems before assembly to avoid deterioration of the profiles. For this purpose, we have an internal storage system on rolling shelves that avoids the use of disposable materials.
The electrical components, designed to guarantee a luminous efficiency of more than 120 lm/W,
is for us one of the most important characteristics, especially in the case of large installations and/or premises where there may be profiles of more than 10m and where a good luminous flux must be guaranteed without excessive consumption. Finally, the sale and transportation, often this sales logistics goes unnoticed, being one of the parts where more disposable material is generated due to the packaging process. For this reason, we replace short-life products (such as plastic bags) in our packaging
with recyclable and biodegradable products, either cellulose mesh or recycled cardboard, as we also use in the rigid cardboard tubes that contain the profiles during packaging.¿What is our objective? To continue implementing every day new technologies that make us progress and improve existing products. How? Implementation of home automation systems and intercommunication with the user and the environment and search for new ways to reduce the carbon footprint.
Seek new ways to design and stay ahead of the curve so as not to miss a step in the race towards greater sustainability.
